AB 1539 which expedites the process for compassionate release is on the Governor's desk. The bill makes technical changes to ensure each stage of the request is handled timely and that a prisoner has a chance to get home before death occurs.

The sponsors of the bill have asked for phone calls to the Governor and letters in support of AB 1539.

Support should be done as quickly as you can as the deadline for signing/vetoing all bills is Oct 12.
